I just posted the afio program and should have noted that I set 
chmem =64000 (probably will run with less but I use it for big collections).

I have ported the gnu grep program to run (just needs minor tweaking). It has
many more options than the standard minix one, but is a little bigger
(executable file size 32K vs 8K for the standard). It is more like egrep than
grep.
