We are planning to install an Ethernet Local Area Network with several
PCs. Also it is planned to transmit files from LAN to our IBM 4381 host
mainframe. So that our problem has two steps. The first is installing
the LAN by Ethernet and the second is connecting it with the IBM host.

Does anyone have an experience on this kind of installation? What are
the main problems before and after installing?
I do not know what kind of configuration is needed. Parts, models,
software, publishings etc. If you send me a complete configuration list
from a PC to the host with the software requirements, I would be muchly
grateful to you.

Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.
