Well, today everything is hunky dorry.  Packets are flowing to and
from the Mail bridges with out a hitch.  Nothing has changed in the
PSN's.

BUT, the EGP updates are all under 2048 today!

BBN has some insite into the problem.  It is related to transmission
of a packet that generates a checksum error at the link level.  After
some number of retrys the channel hangs.  Nothing will clear this
blockage but a reset from the DCA network monitoring center.
