However, given my propensity for accumulating software (all of it in a legal fashion, thank you 8-) as well as the number of languages I have, I'd like to get a removable HD system for reasons of expandability and ease of organization. After browsing the popular Amiga mags, I've come up with three alternatives (references posted for informational purposes): * Comspec's BN 20 Bernoulli 20MB (Transactor for the Amiga V1#4) * Pioneer Computing's PRD-44 44MB Removable Winchester (Amazing Computing Nov 88) * Supra's SupraDrive FD-10 10MB Floppy (AmigaWorld Nov 88) Could anyone who has experience with any of the above please advise on the following: - Auto-boot capability - Access times w/ respect to popular HDs - Operational problems/reliability - Compatibility with my system (Amiga 500 w/ 2 drives, 501 expansion) - Value-for-money (very subjective, so general comments please) Any e-mail replies will be summarized to the net if significant. However, please note that my present account will disappear at the end of January. Thanks very much! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adrian Ho a.k.a.
