Depends on the University.  At Rice it's the other way around.  I'm going
to be starting soon as a "systems programmer" for the CS dept. at a very
decent pay.  I *know* that there's no way the computing center would even
come close salary-wise.  But this isn't misc.jobs.d, so I'll be quiet now.
