After about 2 weeks of operation my 500 has developed a SERIOUSLY
"squeaky" disk drive. I've never heard a sound like that out of my
1000. This noise is so loud it can be heard LOUDLY in the next room
with the door closed! I'm hoping this won't develop into a major
problem, but with Commodore's "quality control" track-record, it
probably will (my first 500 died after 5 hours.) Can anyone possibly
hint at what might be causing this monstrous noise and what I
could/should do about it?
