Summary: It WORKS!! :-) Message-ID: <2614@udccvax1.acs.udel.EDU> Date: 3 Jan 89 04:49:54 GMT Reply-To: muzak@vax1.acs.udel.EDU (Stephen F Felicetti) Followup-To: comp.sys.amiga Organization: University of Delaware Lines: 21 ----------- MANY thanks to all who responded to my postings...the drive finally works!! The problem was, in fact, the jumper on the drive itself -- I had to change it from 'JS0' to 'JS1'. I can only wonder how many other 2000 owners have had this problem -- the installation instructions included with the A2010 say NOTHING about adjusting this jumper. They could at least include it in the troubleshooting section of the manual. I wasted quite a lot of time needlessly ripping apart my computer trying to locate the source of the problem. I'm just grateful I didn't have to pay some repair center labor charges for swapping one stupid jumper! Thanks again to all who sent suggestions!! -- Steve :-) Felicetti PS - That drive must have a powerful motor if it could drive me up a wall like that!! :-D
