Control-reset >doesn't drop into the shell - it reboots. I think I can explain the control-reset problem... it might have something to do with GS/OS being greedy in that respect. They should give control back to the application programs, if that's the case. When you installed GS/OS on your system, how did you go about it? Don't leave any details out.
