I've seen a FX/20 operating an a IIgs with no problems.  I seriously
question what logic was thought over when they told you that the drive
would no longer work on a Mac.  Sure, it won't work as a ProDOS formatted
drive. but that isn't any reason why GCC's utility that comes with it won't
format it.  If you like the drive, I say go for it.
