The AA's I used were not new, yet the machine has been keeping good time for over a year so far. The original lithium battery flaked out after only a year and a half. I understand, however, that Apple switched batteries when the release version of the IIGS was produced. On a side note, my *real* IIGS has been keeping good time for over two years. BTW, I leave both machines on all the time. So perhaps the drain on the battery isn't as significant as if the machines had been kept turned off most of the time. --Morgan UUCP: crash!pnet01!pro-sol!mdavis ProLine: mdavis@pro-sol ARPA: crash!pnet01!pro-sol!mdavis@nosc.mil MCI Mail: 137-6036 INET: mdavis@pro-sol.cts.com APE, BIX: mdavis
