I've been playing nethack on my ST for a few weeks now and recently the dungeon would collapse when I would go down the stairs. It would complain about reading only 0 bytes from the LEVELS files when it should have read 2 bytes. It saves the character, asks me if I want to identify my possessions (but doesn't show them), and then kills my character via a "panic" and puts him in the scoreboard. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can overcome this problem? Do I just have a corrupted file or is it more fundamental? cheers, -c |Chip Roberson ARPANET: csrobe@cs.wm.edu | |Dept of Comp.
