Message-ID: <8901041651.AA23008@ucbvax.Berkeley.EDU> Date: 4 Jan 89 16:49:00 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The Internet Lines: 26 I have tried calling Gadgets by Small and am told I will be called back; as yet ZIP! I am getting really frustrated not being able to run 128K requiring codes on Spectre 128. At my workplace there are more than 50 Atari computers with some groups running them as Macs under Magic Sac. Until I get at least one version of Spectre 128 to behave, no one is in a mood to order it. Please, please, someone help me figure out why 64K requiring codes will run but 128K requiring codes will NOT. My Apple ROMS have the following numbers (at least this is what I can read): 752 SA X882Q 23512-1054 342-O341-C 751 SA X841Q 23512-1055 342-0342-B I am running version 1.75 of Spectre 128. When I used Finder/System 5.4/3.2 my system bombed trying to run EXCEL 1.5 or HYPERCARD. When I used Finder/System 6.0/4.2 I got the message "The following application is busy or damaged:" then it named either EXCEL or HYPERCARD. C'mon, someone out there must know why I cannot run 128K requiring codes!!!! If anyone knows how to get a message to Dave Small (I do not have access to BIX, GENIE, CompuServe or USENET) then please let him know that there is at least one poor soul who just cannot get Spectre 128 to run 128K codes. One final note, the 64K codes that I run perform at blinding speed - disk access on my HD is incredible. Love it! Now, if only I could run EXCEL, HYPERCARD, .....
