When I used > Finder/System 6.0/4.2 I got the message "The following application is busy > or damaged:" then it named either EXCEL or HYPERCARD. C'mon, someone out there > must know why I cannot run 128K requiring codes!!!! The user doesn't have to do anything different to run an application that requires the 128K ROMs. In fact the programs you say are working (ones that work on 64K or 128K ROMs) are USING the new 128K ROM functions to run. They are just not using some of the new extensions to the Toolbox. The message you are getting, "The following application is busy or damaged" normally indicates that the resource fork of an executable file has been damaged. Try re-copying the executables from your original Mac disk and see if that helps. Gadgets by Small was shut down over the Christmas and New Years holidays, so they were not taking any calls. I don't know if they have caught up with the back log of tech support calls from the holidays or not. When I worked at Data Pacific I took a 10 day break over Christmas. When I returned I had over 200 tech support calls waiting for me and it took 3 weeks to get caught up. I'm sure that Dave has the same problem at Gadgets by Small or maybe even worse. If you will send me a mail item with your name, phone number, and times you can be reached I will give it to Dave Small so he can call you.
