Hi!

Despite all the flames I got from atari on my previous posting on the
TT, I've decided to reveal a new piece of TT info.

An atari source told me that the long awaited TT will be shown at the
Hannover Fair this spring. Developer versions will be delivered end 1st
or somwehere 2nd quarter of 1989. Customer shipments start 3rd quarter
1989. The TT will run a version of TOS which is compatible with the ST
TOS. Also Unix will eventually become available.

Some speculation (this is pure mine):
The TT will run TOS 1.4, which is delayed by atari for this purpose.
Remember that beta copies of 1.4 have been shipped to developers more
than half a year ago. I found that 1.4 was a lot better than 1.2, so
what else could cause this delay? Rom production? Hah!

My questions to Atari US:
Can you officially confirm the above?
Can you reveal more info (say about the processor)?
Will the TOS release for the TT be in the same ROMS as the ST one?

One request to atari: do not overflow my mailbox with messages like
"don't mail such rumours; we'll announce something when it is ready".
I already have plenty of these messages.
