I have an IBM XT clone with an Adaptec RLL controller and Seagate ST238R
drive currently installed.

I recently bought a used 20 meg drive with a 1984 circa Western Digital
controller.  When I just use the WD by itself (no RLL controller) it 
works fine. But, when I try and use both controllers simultaniously
my system hangs inevitably during boot-time... even with a floppy disk
installed. I have no DOCs for either drive (one came with the system,
the other one i bought at a garage sale!) I just know that the Western
Digital controller is NOT RLL (1984 vintage) and the 20meg that came with
it (cheap brand) is not RLL either....

Please help me!
