All of the local computer stores I've called are pushing the identical hardware: AST 6-Pack+. None of them have it in stock, all will take 3 days to get it, and they all want $400+ for it. Since I have to wait for delivery anyway, I'm predicting that I can save a bundle by going mail-order. I know I can look in computer shopper for mail-order houses, but that will only tell me about the price, NOT the reputation of the company. Which mail-order houses have people in net-land been happy with for this type of item? Which offer overnight shipping via FedEx 1-day UPS?
