Keywords: Current Technology Digitizer, Fast Storage to Disk. Message-ID: <1647@adec23.UUCP> Date: 5 Jan 89 18:25:22 GMT Distribution: na Organization: ADEC Systems Inc., Edmonton, Alberta Lines: 14 I am presented with a problem, I don't know (using current proven technology), how fast I can digitize a (possibly high resolution) video signal and then subsequently store the picture on disk. This could be a trick question, so assume fastest PC (386 25Mhz or so), fastest disk (ok, maybe 16 ms seek). I want to take these snapshots asynchronously and I would like to be able to take them at a minimum of 1 second between. Is this possible? How much to store (packed or unpacked, meeting the time requirement, but can be done in background) to determine disk size .please e-mail responses and I will post if there is sufficient interest. Thanks in advance, or maybe later :-) Mark Salyzyn @ alberta!{uofaee,edm,dragos,ncc}!adec23!mark or mark%adec23@nexus.ca
