It comes in 5 volumes: Volume 1: "Classic Mac, part 1: The applications" Volume 2: "Classic Mac, part 2: The operating system" Volume 3: "Classic Mac, part 3: The hardware, and stuff we forgot" Volume 4: "The Mac Plus, or how the file system grows a tree" Volume 5: "The Mac II (oh, yeah, and the SE): A brave new world" The titles are mine, by the way, not Apple's, but they give some idea of what is covered in each. These are not the best place to start into the Mac programming world, and are sometimes inaccurate/misleading due to errors, omissions, or changes in the specs.
