Adding a Kinetics FastPath box which ties the net into the campus backbone (Unix mainframes, etc.) makes for a flexible network. Now we're setting up another AppleTalk net of Mac II's and printers in another building, and the new net will be tied in with another K-box. Could someone give me an overview of how AppleTalk zones work? I'm guessing that we could configure things such that a Mac on one AppleTalk net could access a Mac file server or printer on the other AppleTalk net through the use of zones. How's it done? I don't need the specific details of the procedure. Just a general overview to educate someone who's never seen it done ... (Thank you!)
