Not to add confusion to the issue, but I dropped by a dealer's shop and used a scanner/Mac combo to get something for a particular drawing program we use here at work. I noticed that the scanner software and a drawing DA on the Mac that I used with the scanner supported the TIFF format, but those are the only two programs that I've seen with that option.
