I would like to know how I can access a VMS none default proxy entry from an ultrix system ? Basically I need to be able to enter a NIL password, I guess in dcp decnet copy operations from the ultrix to the VMS system. A command as in : % dcp filename vmssystem/username/password::'filename' (1) works fine. But when one wants to access a none default proxy entry on the VMS system you need to do something like: % dcp filename vmssystem/username//::'filename' (2) The problem here is that vms than thinks a connect requests is given for that user with a password which is empty resulting in 'access control rejected ...' % dcp filename vmssystem/username::'filename' (3) does not work either because then ultrix interactively prompts for a password. Pressing return leads to the same situation as in (2). I can use none default proxy entries between VMS systems as in $ copy filename vmsystem"username":: (4) in which username is one of the none default proxy entries granted to me. So I guess essentialy what I am asking is what is an equivalent kommand for (4) under ultrix ? (I am (still) running Ultrix 1.2 but I guess this question is as relevant for later Ultrix versions) Thanks for any info Marc Elsen (System Manager/Software Engineer) Katholieke Universiteit Leuven Dep.
