Or you can find by looking and seeing it on the screen, then using cursor & "w" and such to move to the word. Then you to "cw" to replace the word... Very similar in thought-concepts to what you described above, though different in physical use. Oh and vi has the advantage you can do the above to sentences or paragraphs just as easily as to single words. Maybe or maybe not one of those fancy Mac word processors can do it .. I dunno, I never used one. Now, does that "Find:" "Replace With:" business get selected by mouse action? If so it's automatically deficient because it's very inconvenient to have to switch back and forth between mouse and keyboard. Especially since mice can be just about anywhere on the desk and (at least) none of my desks never have room on 'em for proper mouse use... I'd rather have a trackball built into my keyboard. And yes, I know that those are available for Mac's ... I don't have a Mac. -- <-- David Herron; an MMDF guy <-- ska: David le casse\*' {rutgers, uunet}!ukma!david, david@UKMA.BITNET <-- Now I know how Zonker felt when he graduated ... <-- Stop! Wait!
