My problem is that there is a 2-3 second delay before receiving the first expose event. This delay is not seen when repainting a xterm window. My application is basically one window with 10 subwindows. I wouldn't expect that computing exposures for 11 windows would need so much time. Also since windows in X are meant to be "light weight objects" I wouldn't expect that 11 windows would cause performance problems. Does anyone know to what to attribute delays in exposure notification? Howard Mullings mullings@harvard.harvard.edu (617) 876-7636
