Since so many people responded to the question of how one highlights a region
in emacs on a Sun386i, I will just broadcast the results: No one knows.
Several people noted that they had tried but gave up. Oh well.

Another crazy question: Has anyone built multiple font support in emacs on a
Sun 386i?
