  Anybody out there know how one would tackle variable-length fields
under Informix? I have an application that currently runs under dbase III 
which uses the dbase "memo" type as a variable-length field. Any suggestions
as to how this would be accomplished in an efficient manner under Informix or
even under Oracle?
