There was an article in a past Micro Cornucopia (I don't have it here
so I can't tell you which) that detailed accessing DbaseIII files from
pascal.  The author went into fairly good detail on reading the header,
finding the first record, reading records etc.  He only touched briefly
on index (.NDX) files, though.  With the info provided you could build
a fair library.

NOTE:  If any one has a PD TurboPascal DbaseIII library, please e-mail
or post.  I don't have the time to develop a full library myself.
