Some nodes do not yet have 2400 bps outdials. Even with 2400, ATT comes out ahead. Plus MNP-capable modems can actually exceed 9600bps. PCPursuit will, for the forseeable future, not have MNP available to customers. Yes, you must pay for the new modem. But you now have access to the entire world, not 30-some cities.
