I have proofed the mods to 2.1 elm (patch level 1) to work with
machines that have 4.3 BSD style mail delivery (use of FLOCK).
If there is enough interest, I will post a "diff -c" file useful with
patch.  If not, I will send a copy to all who request it.

BTW, if you have attempted this and think it is working, be sure to
understand how elm actually updates the system mailbox because the
method to get this to work 100% of the time requires some tricky code
due to the fact elm unlinks the system mailbox (poof gone flock
protection).
