Well, I have two problems with such solicitations: 1) The one's by machine where they expect you to cooperate with their effort to sell you something but give you little or no chance to engage in any discussion, i.e., THEY are saving money by doing it via a message machine but YOU are expected to spend your time listening; 1) The one's done by people who do not allow you to say NO thanks before they finish their prepared message or argue with you a bit about saying so.
