I'm currently using OS-9 Level 2 (6809) on a Tandy Color Computer 3. I like it a lot, but I'm beginning to feel cramped by the 64K address space limit. I'm starting to look around for an OS-9 68K machine. The most important factor I need to consider is price. I am an undergraduate on a limited budget and, much as I would like to, I cannot spend thousands of dollars on the neatest, fastest OSK machines. Software-wise, a C compiler, macro assembler and linker are all essentials. What is a good source of public domain software for OSK? Is there anything remotely like TeX for OSK? Has windowing under OS-9 matured on any systems besides the CoCo? I'm not a hardware hack, but I don't mind putting a system together. I did manage to get a B&B Hard Disk working with my CoCo. If possible, I'd like to use an IBM-compatible hard disk with whatever I get. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've glanced over the FHL ads and I've heard OSK will run on an Atari ST, but that's about all the info I've got.
