Message-ID: <4354.8901122304@crete.cs.glasgow.ac.uk> Date: 12 Jan 89 23:04:24 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The Internet Lines: 33 Is this an AUFS bug? Scenario: 0. Folder contents are displayed by name... 1. View a folder by icon (Select "View/by Icon"). 2. Unmount AUFS volume. 3. Mount AUFS volume again. 4. Open Folder. Folder contents are displayed *BY NAME* (not icon as expected!). Pull down "View" menu but "by Small Icon" is checked (not "by Name" as expected)! It doesn't make sense! This does NOT affect all folders - seemingly only those nested at least 3 levels deep or more with several files/folder in them: "AUFS Volume:Folder1:Folder2" It's the contents of Folder2 that are displayed wrongly. There are 2 things wrong: Why didn't the "View/by Icon" stick? How come it views by name but checks "by small icon"? Has anyone experienced this exasperating problem and has anyone any solution?
