  I was recently writing some routines to implement xmodem transfer, and I
ran into problems when test my routines on a 7-E-1 UNIX machine vs a 8-N-1
PC-DOS computer.  According to xmodem protocol, it has to be done in
8N1 setting, but most of the UNIX systems operate at 7E1 setting.  Can
somebody out there explain how to set up xmodem for UNIX.
