Sometimes, it can lock up the machine. The same type of problems happen with FTP. When I run telnet using desqviews's protected mode, I find that telnet tries to write to memory locations outside its address space, these locations correspond to the one of the drivers loaded at boot time for PCNFS. I have had no problems with using the PCNFS' virtual drives on the sun server. These problems don't happen at all when I use NCSA's telnet v2.2. Has anybody found this problem. Is there a fix to it ? My configuration is a PS/2 model 80 with a 3COM 3c523 ethernet board. Ivan E. Auger iea25@leah.albany.edu or iea25@albny1vx.bitnet
