As for irrelevant, again (sorry, Elise, but some folks don't catch on at first), who controls a computer network will likely make a VERY relevant difference in how it's operated, which interests it will serve, etc. Also, you may have missed my attempts to get back to that subject, as distinguished from discussions on voting systems. But I think it's only natural that tangents will be pursued. A recent discussion in tx.general started out with an announcement on a memorial rally for Harvey Milk, and has ended up with discussions on conscription, etc. While anything can get out of hand, you should realize that some digression is inevitable. it makes me consider throwing the whole damn towel > in.
