Bitnet isn't too keen on standards right now and everyone comes up with their own standard when is commanded through mail messages or SEND messages (like Unix TALK... sort of :-). In fact, a project called Bitnet II is considering a switchover (or partial switchover) to TCP/IP-like systems. But that's not for discussing on comp.sys.amiga...
