  I have never had any problems chopping downloaded zoo or arc'ed
files using the version of Xmodem implemented in Aterm7.3.  The trick
Aterm uses is to note that arc'ed files generally end with the two
characters '1A00'x.  If the pad character is '00'x and the last non-zero
byte was also a '1A'x, the algorithm leaves one '00'x in the file.

  Zoo files don't seem to be a problem.  The zoo files I have observed
all seem to end with the character '83'x - not  a character normally used
as a pad character by Xmodem.
