The trick Aterm uses is to note that arc'ed files generally end with the two characters '1A00'x. If the pad character is '00'x and the last non-zero byte was also a '1A'x, the algorithm leaves one '00'x in the file. Zoo files don't seem to be a problem. The zoo files I have observed all seem to end with the character '83'x - not a character normally used as a pad character by Xmodem. -- --- "My dog will only eat cantaloupes", was Tom's melancholy complaint. // Jeff Lydiatt: jlydiatt@jlami.wimsey.bc.ca | From the desk \X/ UUCP {uunet,cs.ubc.ca}!jlami.wimsey.bc.ca!jlydiatt | of Tom Swiftie.
