In a vanilla CLI, just typing <CTRL-O> BackSpace will be enough to reselect
the normal character set. In the Dillon/Drew Shell V2.08, I included the
sequence ^O in my _prompt, so the normal character set got selected at the
end of each command.  The Borreo/Dieni Shell V3.01 automatically does this
for you.
