It IS more susceptable to noise than some of the more expensive machines. Jerry Pournelle is plagued by noisey lines. He reports his 19.2k modem used at 2400 baud is much better than anything else he has used. (Not sure which brand it was, alas. I didn't bother to check as I can't afford one just yet. ) My experience here indicates it is a little worse than the Ven-Tel 2400 that I have regarding line noise. It has a much better command set, though. And it costs a whale of a lot less. -- Sometimes a bird in the hand leaves a sticky deposit. Does the fair maiden ever {backbone}!gryphon!jdow win? Surely both the knight and dragon stink. Maybe the maiden should suicide? Better yet - she should get an Amiga and quit playing with dragons and knights.
