What's more, the VIEW option under Copy > II+ actually lets you read the EZ Install directions ! (they are at the > beginning of KER384.1). Thanks, everyone, for posting these solutions. I had been going crazy trying to unpack Kermit 3.85 for a week until I found out that the conversion utils didn't change the hi bit between ProDOS and DOS3.3. I now have Kermit working under DOS on my //c. Just one problem, though. I'd like it under ProDOS, but when I try to use the //c System Utilities (which I believe is the equivalent of CONVERT on a //e) to copy the file KERMIT385 from DOS to ProDOS, it garbages my screen and dumps me into the monitor halfway through the copy. Has anyone else seen this, and is there a way to fix the problem (preferably w/o spending much $$)? I don't have Copy II+, obviously. Second: I recently got Z-link from LISTSERV. It came as 2 EXECUTIONER files, which I successfully EXEC'ed under ProDOS to create a file Z.LINK.BNY, 93 blocks, loads at A$2000, and a second file Z.LINK.BN1, which I believe was a temp file and is no longer needed. When I try to BRUN Z.LINK.BNY, though, I get a NO BUFFERS AVAILABLE error, which I read somewhere means that it would overwrite part of ProDOS if I loaded the file. Anyone know how to get past this? There was no documentation with Z-link. Thanks a bunch, Dennis -- Dennis Draheim Internet: ddraheim@pacvax.csc.ti.com Texas Instruments dennis@tifsie.csc.ti.com P.O.
