The Epson is 180dpi vertically, 360dpi horizontally, whereas the NEC is 360dpi both ways, but the driver may not use this; it may use the 180x180 mode, as the dots are 1/180 inch across, anyway. If this is the case then the Epson may be able to handle it. I have fixed up my old BBC 5.25" drive (80trk DS) to run with my ST; this involved increasing the resistance pulling up the drive select line to Vcc. It works fine, reading & writing IBM disks and reading, writing & formatting ST disks. (I have a 40/80 track switch) If your 5.25" disks are in an MS-DOS lookalike format then there should be no trouble. Ceri.
