Recently, I tested an SLM804 vs an HP LaserJetII for speed in printing
graphics.

Atari configuration                            PC configuration

- Mega 2                                       - 80286/80287 (12 MHz)
- SLM804                                       - HP LJII (2 meg RAM)
- EasyDraw                                     - GemDraw

Since EasyDraw and GemDraw will read/write each others files, the same file
was used to print in each config.

On the AtariV{ the time to print (full cycle from start to having the output
in my hand) was 43 seconds. On the PC (Norton rating of 10.3) the time was
14 minutes and 55 seconds. For the fellow that wrote on "SLM804 woes" and
wondered about performance what do you think of these facts????

But I do agree that Atari's laser has to fall in price - the competition has!
