A 2400 baud modem was scheduled to be on the next version of the 3B1, and
may have been in the CT [Convergent Technologoies] system files for their
own purposes anyway.

I ain't asked, but I can't phantasize HOW the 1200 baud modem could be
upgraded to 2400.
