I'm volunteering for a non-profit agency that has very sensitive data files they want to restrict access to, but alas, they have little/no money for hardware or elaborate software options. Specifically they need to allow users access to particular files, different access for different users. Is a file encryption method a good path to follow? And what inexpensive or PD software can do this? Are there ways to control file access with DOS, Norton's, or other common utility? Go ahead and post to the net. I read this group. Thanks in advance, Pam Cahn BITNET: cahn@uhccux.bitnet INTERNET: cahn@uhccux.uhcc.hawaii.edu
