There is a communications program available from MagicSoft called MTE, that claims to have a software emulation of MNP levels 2,4, and 5 for use with non MNP modems. Obviously, a software emulation will be slower than hardware, but how much slower I don't know yet. Also since the routines are embedded within MagicSoft's communications program, they could not be used with other packages without some serious hacking. MagicSoft may be reached @ MagicSoft, Inc. P. O. Box 396 Lombard, IL 60148 312-953-2374 I am in no way connected with the above named Corporation. I just thought I might be able to pass along some helpful information.
