I need to know the codes that the "standard" mouse sends up the RS-232 for
its various events, like left button down, left button up, etc.  Also, does
MS-DOS come with a generic RS-232 mouse driver?  Or is this something you
must purchase along with whatever mouse you buy?  Thanks in advance.

If there is no such thing as a "standard" mouse in the PC realm, well send
me the codes for the microsoft mouse.
