Lines: 13 After a year of frustration and much to my amazement, I have learned that the AIX supports hardware flow control on the serial ports. The trick is to set the 'pro' parameter to 'dc' when using the 'devices' command. Then, the hardware busy line from the peripheral must be routed to the CTS input on the RT. The IBM 10 pin to rs232 printer cable will support hardware handshaking. I was unable to find this information in the manuals. If it is documented, I would appreciate a pointer to the pages. It was only through a conversation with a friend (Thanks Ted) that I found out that this might work on my machine's configuration. Charlie Pilzer uunet!beartrk!clp
