I can't figure out what it means to lock a file thru the Get Info dialog. When I do this to a file on my Mac SE HD, it doesn't seem to do any good; I punch the "Locked" box, close the dialog, drag the icon to the trash, and the system allows it. When I boot off of a system on a floppy and do the same thing, I get a dialog disallowing the trashing of the file when I drag it to the trash. In either case the system in use is 6.0.2. What is it about the system on my HD that allows me to trash locked files? --Thanks! //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Internet: yahnke@vms.macc.wisc.edu Bitnet: yahnke@wiscmacc(.bitnet) \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
