Lines: 14 Is there any real good reason that Multifinder couldn't swap on a application by application basis? I mean, when the Set Aside option of the new beta multifinder were chosen, why couldn't its entire application heap and process variables be written to disk, freeing up the memory it used. This would work on any generation of macs. The only problem is, Apple is the only one with enough internal Multifinder information to do it (right?). I rarely (very rarely; I have 1 Mb) run anything in the background under multifinder. On the other hand, the ability to quickly switch applications could be nice.
