A call to TOPS tech support says that there is apparently a conflict between the two which slowly, at random, causes damage to system and TOPS resources. TOPS 2.0 is apparently not a problem. Our problem occurred with Vaccine 1.0.1. Can anyone tell if it occurs with Vaccine 1.0? We are running System 6.0.2/Finder 6.1. (For the novice, TOPS is an excellent local area networking package, giving distributed file and printer sharing between Macs, MS-DOS machines, and Sun workstations. "Distributed" means that any machine, not just a dedicated one can be a server, unlike Appleshare. Vaccine is an anti-viral utility, which is in the public domain.) --Paul ps01%bunny@gte-labs.COM
