We've got about 434K worth of fonts in the system file on a 1 Meg SE. (We've also got about 600K of sounds; I just like to have lots of junk available). So I presume that most people won't run into this problem. Still, there must be a reasonable number of people who have lots of fonts; so I may not be the only person hit by it. Robert
